Title: AAZ engine with K24 turbo
Post by: Jimmy Diesel Junior on March 07, 2007, 12:18:45 pm
Hi all. I've been reading the search forum again and it leads me to another question :D  When i fit the k24 to the aaz, can i swap over the 1.6td sump onto the aaz and block the oil return at the rear of the block or will the rear engine mounting be in the way of the eturn oil pipe

Ok thanks. So i need to extend the return line a little but there is no issue with the rear engine mounting fouling the return line???

I'm not sure about using the 1.6 oil pan on the AAZ.I would have to guess that the AAZ motor mount would not be made for the 1.6 oil line to go between it and the block.I just use the 1.9 return into the block. You will need the upper half of the 1.6 return line and the bottom half of the 1.9 return to make it work without too much hastle.
