Post by: blakgolf on February 26, 2007, 05:09:35 pm: im from montreal canada, i dont want to go mechanical and i wanna be able to rev it up to 6000rpm safely for my daily driver. it doesnt mean that i will push it to 6k all the time. but im switching to a wastegated turbo so i would like the extra 1000 rpm :)

and forget a 12mm pump

PS: diesel are not made to rev as the gasser do.

i dont think anyone in montreal can port the tdi head anywyas. i dont think anyone has done it and they might screw the head more then anything else. i ratter not touch that on a diesel

The limit is not the turbo, but the engine itself and the combustion speed...

I tuned a 2.0 stroked TDI, ported head, oversize valves, modded pistons, we have 230whp/400lbs, peak hp a 3700rpm.

btw, lsports is dead, bankrup. He bought the shell only.

Call him I am sure that he could come up with a core head, to build and then you could swap, or somthing along those lines, I was down in the Lowermainland lastweekend and stoped by his new shop, he had 3 or 4 heads there forsure.

Post by: blakgolf on March 01, 2007, 01:43:09 pm: first thing first ganna put the car togheter and make it run on the stock block, once thats done ill pull it apart and make it a 2.0 and ill send it out to dave since its ganna be in pieces anywyas.

im get along preatty well with dave :) so lets see what we can work out.

the car is at the body shop getting a fresh paint as we speak. i dont think its worth selling it anymore. since its barely worth 6k on the market. might as well go all out and keep it for a while
