Anybody know where to find this in english, it goes a little beyond my abilities in struggling through French.  Still the pics are worth a thousand words.

Have you downloaded the english manual linked at the bottom of the "TDI-M Injection Pump FAQ" (http://www.vwdiesel.net/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=6427)

It looks different but should cover the same ground.

wow that document touches on the timing advance...  damn my french is rusty!!!  that is some really nice documentation!

:shock: Got the book the other day, and have started going through it. There's a TON of conceptual information about diesel engines and injection technology in particular. The VE pump is covered with some good depth as to how it functions.

As soon as I get a chance I'll start putting a PDF together.

Anyone care to offer some web space to host it on?

Good book eh? It even tells you what Bosch book you need to buy in order to rebuild the pump, I'm sure it's crammed with good info
