Title: FS: 1.6 TD bits
Post by: addautomotive on February 15, 2007, 06:26:10 am
I'm still trying to make room in my garage. All prices are US$ "OBO", will be shipped monday.

I had some shipping screw-ups last time around, so PLEASE send me your full name, address and phone number if you are buy anything. I HATE sending parts to "screen" names.

-1.6 TD oil filter flange $30 sold![/i]
-1.6TD conrods $50sold![/i]
-1.6TD crank $75 (add conrods for $25)
-1.6TD oil pan $30sold![/i]
-1.6TD steel coolant line $20
-1.6TD oil pump $20

-1.6 TD 0.50 over pistons $100. sold![/i] About these pistons: They do show some scuffing, and look like they are a bit "burnt" just below the precups. The pictures show this pretty clearly... I've posted the worst pics, not the best (this ain't ebay ;) )
They are not perfect, hence the price, but I have certainly used worse. In fact, if they don't sell I WILL use them in my samurai. If you buy the pistons, I'll throw in the conrods for $25 as long as someone else hasn't bought them.

Bunch of miscellaneous stuff... Make an offer:
-IP brackets(see pictures)
-PS & alternator brackets(see pictures)
-front & rear cover plates(see pictures)
-engine mounts
-vacuum pump

As always, I do my very best to describe parts accurately. However, if you aren't happy I will gladly return your money. If there are shipping screw-ups or delays, I generally refund the money until you get the part. This is a hobby, not a business, so I really just want everyone involved to be happy.

The alternator brackets look like A2 brackets.
AC or not.. both use the same bracket.
 Nice little selection.

do you have an intermediate shaft pulley that isn't chewed up on the inside(like mine)?  This is for a 91 US Eco motor... I'm assuming all of the 1.6td's all use the same pulley???
Thanks

UPDATE:

A couple items were very late being sent out, my apologies to Calgary Mclean & Darkness_is_spreading. I've PM'd you with tracking #s.

I have another 1.6TD coming in soon, hopefully this weekend. I went out to hear it run last week, and it is SWEET. Probably a better engine than in my Samurai, started right up after sitting for 3 weeks, and no smoke at all. It's a 91 with k24 turbo.

I'm gonna kick this back up to the top for a bit...

I'm gonna take a stab at making a nice little 1.5 t-diesel. Toward that goal, going to need some parts, and I figure I ought to support a VWDieseler before I support random salvage yard(s).

Happen to have a 1.6TD injection pump coming up in your parts? Also intake manifold, as the Dasher's present one is obviously an NA manifold... Will the 1.6 oil pumps fit in a 1.5 without issue?

Might need the turbo and manifold if someone snipe-bids on flea-bay for VDub_Fun's K03 and manifold... I'd prefer something smaller than a K24, but if that's what you have and it's in the right price range I'll be cool with it. :D

So what's the scoop, good sir?

Well the guy I'm buying the current engine from hasn't had time to pull it. We had quite a bit of snow on Friday, and he was into the rum on Saturday. I'm hoping he'll have it pulled this week.

Selling the turbo, manifolds & IP as a package would certainly make my life easier. You'd probably want the oil pan & return line too, correct? How's $300 for everything sound?

Sounds good to me too. When you get the chance, a shipping quote for the lot to 29670 would be very much appreciated and likely necessary. No rush on the parts, I'm headed to Florida for three days to fix a ceiling, so I won't be back around until Friday or so.

Perfect. I won't be able to give you an exact shipping quote until I have the parts off & weighed. I've gotten pretty good at "guestimating" shipping though, and I'd say you'd be looking at $50-60.

Tell ya what. It would be $20 for the one piec, or $5 if you take all three. I need to get rid of some of this stuff.

I was only being a smartass. You can have it for $5. I'll try to get a quote tonight.

FWIW; I might have another core engine with a blown headgasket. Downside is it's in my samurai :(

Jeeze, according to the online calculator it will be $18 to ship; the box is quite bulky. I may take it down to the post office and see if there is a different way to send it for cheap

Just slap a label on it and ship it without a box. It can be done. How bad can it  get bent? Wont have to worry about customes trying to open it.

To be honest I can't remember. I'm having a "garage night" tonight so I'll see what I have out there.

Do you have any K24 oil return lines lying around?
