Title: no throttle

my 1y motor in my t3 will not rev .i removed the top of the pump to find rubber swarf in the return and in the pump but not in the main filter any ideas where this came from?

The governor drive gear has rubber blocks between it and the drive shaft to dampen torsional vibration. My guess is that these are disintegrating.

what is the standard in Europe? i thought they have super clean diesel over there...  maybe he was running BD?

cheers guys im going to pull the pump tomorrow and swap it with another one.
 could i swap the shaft with a 16 one?

Not in the UK....


ULSD is available in the UK, a lot of supermarkets are starting to sell it at the pump aka City  for instance the local oil terminal the supermarkets use only refines, stores and sells ULSD now (I know this as I work at the Logistics company that delivers the fuel to the supermarkets)

No need to swap the shaft, the rubber blocks for the damper are included in an injection pump gasket kit. Complete pump disassembly will be required to install them. If you aren't familiar with the inner workings of the pump it's probably best just to swap it for a good one.
