I think I can promiss you that it doesnt have the original swing axle/reduction box rear suspension!  

Anyone else ever get one of those old busses hopping on a burnout?  They could hounce the back end into the air like a lowrider......until the rear diff shattered!

I love it. I had a moded 356 engine in a 1960 bug and used to enjoy humiliating 396 Chevelles.

hehe My bus was a bit of a sleeper, but nothing to that one.

A buddy put a mazda rotary in a superbeetle (with IRS bus transaxle).
Instant 12 second car!! nothing visible except a small scoop under front bumper.  man that thing suprised a few other drivers!  Especially since it sounded like a 5 litre chain saw when you opened it up.
