Title: pics of garret T2 and how to up the boost?
Post by: carrizog60 on January 10, 2007, 03:30:37 am
a friend of mine got a passat swap to his golf D and now wants to add just a little more fuel and boost.
does anybody has a pic of this turbo/wastegate and if it is possible to increase the boost manually like kkk24?

thanks

some wastegates are adjustable, look at the above picture, you see the "screw".

you better take a manual boost controller, you will see the boost come up quicker (and sooner i thought).

i drove without wastegate (the wastegate was not connected but it was on), i controlled the boost with feul quantity, but i think my turbo was running the last miles also    (with disconnected wastegaate you also will see less lag)

i suggest to buy a manual boost controller anyway, you will get more power in low rpm becouse of less lag    boost controllers are so cheap
