I was considering replacing the transmission on my 80 Audi 5000 with the manual transmission off of a 1983 Audi gas to get a higher gear ratio. I think the drive flanges on the gas and diesels were different, the diesels take larger diameter bolts from the drive lines. Will the flanges on the transmissions interchange easily?
