i got a gtech RR for xmas
im still learning how to use it,but im getting there
hopefully you guys who are building tdi-m's get the same results
but 2 of my runs so far:
116hp@2700 rpms
229 ft pounds@2600
and the next
138hp@3100
231 ft pounds@3150
the tq curve is SO flat it isnt funny
im not so impressed/happy with the hp numbers
i was thinkin like 150,but my butt dyno doesnt work so good
and therabbittree was close with his verbal estimate of 220 +ft pounds
though,good job Deo!!!!!!!!
i always had a problem reading the tach, but now thats no problem with the tach on gtech
my max revs are a little lower than what i thought
i used to think it revved nice to 45-4700
but its more like 4200 max,it falls off dramatically after that
ive got the shift lights set to around 3800,and that works fairly ok so far

What sort of governor are you using in your pump?
You should really get that thing on a chassis dyno. Gtechs are good for doing comparisons and whatnot but they're not nearly as accurate as a real dyno.
-
Thats 138 WHP right? How much boost? 30psi?.It would be nice to campare that with the chassis Dyno,But it does seem like a good ballpark reading.
-
they say its not wheel hp
its net hp
itll go like 40psi most of the time
i need a bigger turbo
-
So net hp is from the crank?
-
it's real world hp, basically, wheel hp with aerodynamics played in as well. his car would probably have another 20 hp on a stationary dyno
-
yea and being i was in 4th gear the aerodynamics come into effect too
in a lower gear,it winds out too fast to get a complete hp/tq curve
and it was raining when i did my initial testing
thats why i only did hp testing at first
-
i'll have to do a 0-60 move in my jetta in the rain, but only of the speedo, i don't want anyone to see outside, then they'll no i was actually sitting still lol
