Title: Wires and plug on turbo?
Post by: con on December 28, 2006, 07:40:12 am
I was examining the engine bay and noticed two loose wires. They should be attached to a little white plug that appears to connect onto the turbo. Could anyone tell me what the purpose of the wires and plug is?
I have taken a few photos to try and illustrate what I am referring to.
Thanks.

Thats the temperature switch for the electric coolant pump, it circulates coolant through the turbo after shutdown. Probably should be hooked up.

con I'll have to check mine, but I don't think those wires are connected on my GTD.  I'll let you know once I've had a look.
I always let my GTD idle for a couple of minutes after a long run anyway just to let the oil circulate & cool a little.
Cheers,
Tom
