Title: Audi 5 Cylinder Timing

I got my timing dial for Christmas, so I checked out the timing on th 5 cylinder turbo diesel.  By trial and error the last 6 months I had it set at about 1.06mm.  The bently says set it a .98 mm.  Which setting would be better for MPG?

going by 1.6's, they can be timed by 1.00mm +-0.05mm

so if the bentley says 0.98mm, try 1.03mm an that should be ok
