pics plz? i see a spot on top of hte oil filter, shoudl i use that for oil pressure?
-
i used the spot on the oil filter as my oil temp...put the oil pressure in the head so that you know that oil is getting to the head. thats what i did anyway. on the right hand side of the head in the upper left corner is where the other pressure sensor goes. hope this helps.

so best way to do it is to get a t spliter?
oil temp at filter housing, left bolt looking from above, and oil pressure from the port on the right side of the upper engine eh?

thats what i did...i only have one oil pressure sender. on the head.

I got an oil pressure sending unit from a late-80's / early 90's cabriolet that has two electrical terminals coming off of it - one for the good ol' dummy light and another for oil pressure gauge. It's a cylindrical canister-like thing that screws into the M10x1.0 port in the driver's side of the head. It directly replaces the dummy-light sending unit that usually gets mounted there, and keeps fairly clean installation (no need for "T" fittings, etc.) The canister is a little bit on the bulky side though... I had to re-route a boost tube to clear it!
I have oil temp measured off the top of the oil filter mounting bracket and tand of course the OEM turbo supply line connection there as well in the usual location.

installed oil temp today, used the extra bolt hole on the top of the oil filter. Man that bolt was tight! i used a breaker bar and a 5mm allen key to get it off after soaking it in liquid wrench, musta took about 100 ft pounds, big snap, i thought it broke the allen key. works great! Oil pressure tommorrow, gotta get a big socket for taking off the stock sender to put a splitter on.
