The american ones have a plastic insert recess for the numberplate and lock to fit into - wondered if anyone had one kicking about?

if you're not in a hurry i can get one for you, do you want a specific color?  what ever i pay for it in the junkyard and what ever shipping costs you'll be paying the same...

no specific colour - just whatever you can get your hands on - you can't get them in the UK!

How much do you recon you can get me one for?

You'd have a hell of a time making that recess fit. The hatch is very different. I've worked on them side-by-side.  BTW, the plate recess can be had for about $28 new.
