Hi Guys, I'm new in here.
I have a questions for you. I have a '95 Golf mk3 CL 1.9L diesel, and when I bought it, it's fuel pump had a small leakage and went to a diesel pump specialist and they re-calibrated my fuel pump.
The problem that I have, seems that it all started from here. When I start the engine, I here a bit of a loud noise.. It lasts after 2mins or less. The sound is like something is knocking in the fuel pump. After these 2mins passes, the engine makes a tick noise, and the engine is advanced (it is like giving some gas), and the noise disappears..
What could it be?
Thanks.

does your injection pump have electric timing advance???

dude thats your vacuum pump building enough pressure to pull your cold idle up. its a vacuum pot to a cable actuated by a temp sensor. When u start it cold, the engine with knock a hair more than normal and thats fine, then if its cold(which it usually is unless its been running) as soon as vacuum is built, the cold hi-idle is pulled up. This is something that is unique to AAZ 1.9 TD's.
the ol' 1.6's had it tied in to the cold start cable.
