ENOUGH TO SNAP THE PRESSURE PLATE IN 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  anyways i gave it a nice real good regular beating and my clutch started acting up doin all sorts of weird things so i drove it for another week(with beatings) and finally wouldnt go in to gear when idling or revving or anything. So i headed ove to the doc's shop and pulle the tranny out  WOW i unbolted the flywheel and the pressure plate and metal pieces fell on the ground. most people would be pissed that there new clutch setup went for a crap but not me i started howling :D just thought i would share with guys 8) if your wondering what i have for a clutch setup its a stock 16v pressure plate with a copper ceramic pucked disc and a lightened fly wheel all of it which is 210 mm.

Looks like I'm not alone in the 210mm clutch upgrade .Mabye we can get two for a better price?

i need a crazy pressure plate because i dont want to change them all the time and i dont care how stiff the pedal is.

I'm sure the Doc has some idea of what we need to harness the power

pictures of the carnage?

haha sounds like you did better than hillfolk did with his tdi, he tore all the straps off of his pressure plate.

I'm not sure why yours trannys still work... mine gave up. Now I'm using a 228mm flywheel from a g60 with sachs racing pressure plate. And of course a 02a tranny. Think over it, maybe it is time to get a better tranny. It would be a shame to spend $ on a new clutch and trash the tranny.

no tranny problems. Well i had a ring gear come apart once and reverse a couple of times. i was thinking of running that setup just need to find a passat. O CRAP! i have one sitting in my driveway, but i think itsa to good to part out.
