Well, a month ago I did the govenor modification to my 1.6 na. I removed the intermediate spring, and pre loaded the main spring. I had my max fuel screw turned out quite a ways, so in order for the rpms to fall back down I had to screw it in some. It's not much faster compared to my old set up, but it was still noticeable. But the most interesting thing is that I get 3mpg better now. My driving habit is the same 70 mph/70 miles a day. Does anyone else notice this, or am I just crazy?

it could be because extra fuel at lower rpm's. more power at lower rpm's means better economy (high rpm drinks fuel)
