Title: Part number of VDO EGT kit.
Post by: Baxter on September 21, 2006, 01:04:30 pm
Hey guys, I am having real trouble with VDO Siemens UK as they have never sold a EGT kit!
Does anyone have the VDO part number for the kit I require to fit a EGT gauge into my Westie.
I have rung VDO today, sales dept, they gave me a number, I rang my dealer only to find the number doesn't exsist!
Doing my nut!
I orderd a kit, only for it to arrive and be a external temp sensor kit! or a thermometer if you like!

Take your pick.  They carry just about every line VDO makes, so I'm sure you'll see a part you like.  For instance the gauge-only on their Vision Chrome line is part number 310-191.

Ah, UK and US part numbers are different.
They eventually found the kit but I cannot order direct from VDO unles I agree to spend £10000 a year with them...
I declined..
VDO have never sold one in the UK
They wanted over £200 for the kit.
I said I would look elsewhere..

Anyone used Egauges before? I e-mailed about postage to the UK weeks ago but they never replied.

Yes, I've used them.  I ordered some stuff over the phone, and they responded quickly.  They seem to have good prices and good service.
