do we have a spot yet? quickTD mentioned it will be cold and we should get some inside space......i agree :lol:

location location.... i cant think of much more than a parking lot somewhere, unless we all want to meet at my house. i have room in the backyard for a good 6-8 cars at least... if we are expecting more then i can take a serious look and see what the max # of cars may be. i can also fit at least 3 in the driveway. minimum 10 total then..
my place is far from done... no deck or anything yet. but i can get a BBQ/propane and its a place to meet up and talk diesel. :?: :lol:

if its wet, definitely. so i talked to a friend today and worked out an alternate location that is about 15 minutes drive from my house. parking for as many as we need, covered picnic area, and if the weather is as bad as it was this past weekend, we can use their rec hall.
lets make a list for who's bringing what... and who's coming. everyone post in this thread....we'll need burgers, buns, maybe some dogs, chips, whatever you'd like to bring. i'll get a hold of a bbq and propane.
everyone who would like directions to my place, send me a private message. we'll meet at my house, and if we want to go to location B, we can convoy down my home-town main street in diesel style. :lol:
lets get in another meet before the snow flies...

I can make it....will bring a cooler full of a variety of soft drinks, few bags of junk food , let me know what we need . I also have a buddy(doesn't have a computer so he hasn't been on this message board) who is a definate 'maybe' but I'm 90 per cent sure he'll come also. hey farkman. you know, i'm more of a night person, and if it was up to me we'd meet up in the afternoon and hang out into the night....so feel free to come down after school if you'd like. i'll be around and maybe doc or quickTD might stay late...everyone else is welcome to stay as late as you want... i still havent broke the seal on that welder if you can believe ...i'd appreciate if you could show me a thing or two....

we're going to meet up at 12 noon at my place, and depending on turn-out and what you guys want to do, we can either stay at my house, or drive about 15 minutes north to green acre park where i have arranged parking, picnic shelter, BBQ and use of their rec hall if the weather turns ugly. if we do, we'll leave for green acre no earlier than 1:00pm to give everyone atleast a one hour window to assemble. exceptions (like farkman possibly coming around 4pm) PM me and we'll sort it out.

i just spoke to my friend who works at green acre park, and he said that i should make sure not to lead you guys on at all.... this is NOT an inside GTG... we will be outside unless there is a monsoon basically :lol: so dress for the weather that day.
in his words "if the rain is sideways we will be in the rec hall... but the picnic area is very calm and well-sheltered, its a great spot for a GTG"
basically there is a bunch of insurance and cleaning deposit paperwork and other bull if we use the rec hall, so we want to avoid that if possible.

More bad news i'm afraid. My teachers have scheduled their mid-terms all next week. So I won't be able to make it after school on Saturday. I will be studying the entire weekend instead of enjoying the last GTG of the year :x .
