Post by: 935racer on September 13, 2006, 09:45:40 pm: Tubular headers are on the way, the first batch of laser cut flanges I got were ok, I have now moved to CNC port match flanges, and so I am still working on the 3-d CAD to get them cut, I only know 2-d cad currently so I am getting a buddy to help me out to speed up the process. Trust me though, these will be some of the nicest head flanges available.

And yes that quantum manifold is familiar to you, the idea I had in store for it never worked out :x

Post by: vwmike on September 20, 2006, 12:45:41 pm: I'm trying to find something that will bolt up to the 1.6TD exhaust manifold so I can use a Garret. Other than the K24 I can't think of anything else that would've used that bolt pattern.

I might have one. One of the 2 engines my jetta come with was from a Quantum. Unfortunatly I have no Idea what it looks like. The car came with 3 boxes of stuff.

I'm surpised they still carry them... Now I have to keep my fingers crossed and hope vanagon td is the asme as quantum..

I managed to weld my the pinholes in old one well enough to run the motor for hot torque but I don't trust it for regular use..

Post by: Kudagra on October 02, 2006, 12:40:59 pm: I might have an Intake. Kind of looks like a vanagon intake. Just like a Jetta TD intake except the inlet is on the side and not the top.

Dave had my only Exhaust manifold. Its the clean one in his 1st picture.

I also have the Quantem Oil return line I wont be needing.

Post by: dubCanuck1 on October 26, 2006, 08:02:58 pm: I did a whois lookup on Dave's domain and it says that it's expiring Sept 30, 2007, but that it was modified Sept 30, 2006. I would suspect that the domain hasn't been properly re-registered with the root level servers.

Dave, call you domain registrar (or get Mark to) and give 'em hell.

....and while you're at it, renew it for like 5 years......

Post by: 935racer on October 26, 2006, 09:31:59 pm: Well I made the collectors for the exhaust manifolds , the vnt style and the t3 style, and I found some great transitions in aluminum, and some great u bends in aluminum so the intake manifolds will be aluminum, and I got a new bead roller, and the head flanges are only 2 weeks away.SO DAMN CLOSE :twisted:

Hey Keith can you PM some stuff about the website? I am not so up to date on the internet stuff your gonna have to explain it to me. :o
