Title: Pre-Chambers . . . Where To Buy ? ? ?

Anyone know where i can buy just the pre-chambers for a 1.6L Turbo Diesel? I am in Vancouver BC. I have tryed the local dealers and my local import shop (Bow-wow) and have not be able to find them. Thanks for all the help!!!!

Anyone . . . . . . ? ? ? ? ? I really need them. My mechine shop said that my head shoudnt be put back on with the pre-chambers in as bad shape as they are (the head has over 500 000Km City on it) The mechine shop is looking and i thought i would do my share and see if i could find them but it is not looking very good. Any info that any of you have would be awsome!!!! Thanks again!!!!

You probably talk about the circular piece of steel with an hole in it , stamped in the head.. because the pre-chamber itself is casted in the head and cannot be replaced..

Any good shop that rebuilt diesel engine should have them in stock or at least order them..

Altrom http://www.altrom.com has prechamber inserts available for the 1.9TD, but none are listed for the 1.6, might be worth a call. I'm not sure if the inserts from the 1.9 will fit the 1.6.

Dr. Diesel: this guy does he have them for sure? i have found some at at the volkswagen dealer after digging around a but more but they want 70 bucks each. do you know what this guy charges for them? thanks for all the help!!!
