Hi,simple question on a AAZ engine does the alternator belt run above the water pump pulley or below the pulley? the water pump pulley is smooth by the way.
The old 1.6 runs below the pulley as it has no choice,as its a v pulley.
The water pump will run a different direction depending where the belt is run.
Cheers bert

Pretty sure the aaz in my '97 uses a v-belt for water pump and power steering; serp. belt for alternator, countershaft, and a/c. I'll have to check in a bit....
