Hi all!
Here are some pics of my cabrio. I just replaced it's 1.3 engine with 1.6 TD from my old golf 2. The replacement took me about 2 weeks with my friend.
The hanging of the diesel engine was different from the old one, the 5-speed gear box's leverage is quite different from the 4-speed one, etc... Now is almost done:

you have a filter on the air intake? or is the compressor wheel sucking in free air? :?:
But it looks good!!
what size of intercooler tubing did you use?
-
looks like a hose runs to the rain tray
-
eco diesel..... you should throw a turbo pump on there.

i always guessed a cabby and a diesel wouldn't mate well cause of all the stink haha

Yes, the K&N filter is behind the rain tray.
I think the only disadvantage of the N/A pump, is in full trottle below 2500rpm, when it smokes too much. I just dont push it too much, below 2500, so it doesn't smoke.
I'm not sure about the exact size of the intercooler, but it's big enough
It's the G60's intercooler, but mounted infront of the radiator, where it is cooling better than this mount:

Trev0rbr, if there is a stink, it's a way behind me

You should probably seal that gap @ the top of the radiator a bit so the air will actually go through the radiator when the fan isn't running.

i meant intercooler piping size, 2 inches?
