For those who don't regularly browse the TDI Club, this is kinda neat.

i am curious as to where that part number came from, as it shows no reference into etka 6

ok now i have it on etka, and the number matches the regular pad with the exception of the letter "P"  the "01c" seems to be extra, and when i removed it from the number that's when it pulled up, a steer wheel pad, but the 01c may reference a different color i dunno

171 419 669P 01C

As stated in another site, I'd be interested in trading mine for a NICE wood wheel with brushed spokes.

(yawwwwn) there`s still a few of them aound here(Winnipeg) in the backwater that I live in so I doubt that they`re anywhere near as rare as is being made out here. On that subject, I gladly trade the one I have in my Jetta and the spare that I have for a the far rarer 'GTd' insert that I saw while in Portugal and Spain: any takers?

So would I: it never occured to me at the time(Barcelona Olympics) that it was anything particularly special. It`s a little more irritating now as I have my injection molded plastic set-up running and if I had a pic of the GTd insert, I could probably run off a few dozen of them if I had a good visual to make the mold from :( . As it is,I still might take a wack at the td insert spoken of above as I can use my spare for an original: might sell a few to the folks here if they turn out,...
