Title: 91 Eco/TD problems

Hey,
I recently swapped a TD injector pump onto my 91 eco [eco pump was leaking fuel everywhere] and i'm having some problems. First off, my car has never smoked before but with the new pump on it there is a hugeee amount of smoke flowing out the muffler [especially when i rev the car up]. Secondly, there is a huge amount of air in the fuel line which doesn't make anysense because we have run the car for a while and tried everything to get the air leak to stop but it just continues to build up more and more air. Third, we used the timing tool to attempt to time the pump but it wasnt reading correctly so we are doing it by trial and error and I was wondering if there was any easy way to time it like that? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
