Title: WTB: 1.6TD intake/exhaust manifolds, traverse style
Post by: bhos13 on August 11, 2006, 10:13:31 pm
I'm looking for an intake and an exhaust manifold for a 1.6TD from a traverse-mounted-engine (jetta, rabbit, fox?).  I'm not sure if the 1.9TD items are interchangeable, but if they are, I'd be interested in those as well.  Anybody have these or know where i might find them?  Thanks.

All vw diesels are transversally mounted. The audi's are the ones that usually have them longitudinally mounted.

You can use 1.9 stuff on the 1.6's, but I believe some of them have slightly different port shapes on some pieces.

What about the VW Quantum? That wasn't a transverse mounted engine.
