Title: Coolant Tank and S&P Radiator/Intercooler
Post by: 77highboy77 on October 06, 2020, 11:37:09 am
I've finally got my Rabbit running after about 5 years and I've run into an issue with the coolant tank and radiator I'm running. I'm running the S&P radiator/intercooler combination which doesn't have the connection for the overflow port from the coolant tank. I had been planning to just run the overflow out the bottom of the car but hadn't thought about the fact that if I do that it won't build any pressure in the system. Can I just plug the overflow, or is there some other way to go about this that other people have used?

Thanks in advance!

add a small hose to the upper rad hose to go to the expansion tank?

I was thinking I might be able to use something like this to do that:

That piece looks like the perfect solution to the problem of no place to plug the overflow tank into the system.  Nice to know that is available for that point in time when I bust off the nipple on the radiator and need something to put it back.

Nice find.
