I am in need of an oil pan for my 92 1.6l turbodiesel. It seems that here in Pennsylvania I can not get an oil pan for it. I am told 2 things the engine was never made or its so rare there are no parts for it. The oil return line is leaking right around the weld and I didn't really want to bother with trying to have it fixed if I could just buy a new one. Does anyone know where I would be able to purchase a brand new oil pan? I am begining to think buying parts for my VW is like trying to obtain parts for a Lamborghini.

What part number is your pan? I don't know of any after market TD pans that are available. I got a genuine VW pan (part number 068103601L) from 1stvwparts.com for $95.32. BTW isn't it ironic that VW ownes Lamborghini?

you have to drill and weld in a fitting but thats easy.
Alot cheaper then 95 bucks even if you have to pay someone to do the welding.
