I have one but I kind of need it or another ECU. What happened to your ECU?

not sure, really.  i have a ROM Error according to the OBDII diagnostics.  the dealer suggested the computer be replaced, but was kind enough to not push their $1,600 part on me and suggested i look online for one.

he led me to believe the computer needs replacing, but i really have no idea.  i joined this forum today to either find answers or locate the part.

So, the car runs but has a ROM error? Any chance you have chipped this ECU?

Not at all.  For all practical purposes, this car runs great.  I haven't see a drop in fuel economy and as near as I can tell, the only thing that's wrong is the CHECK ENGINE light on my dash.  (when hooked to the OBD II, that yields the ROM error code.)

i'm not sure if this is necessary to fix, but then again, i'm not a mechanic.
