Title: Injector pump problems 92 Eco Diesel
Post by: redmanmbz on August 06, 2006, 03:04:00 pm
The injector pump on my 92 Eco-Diesel is blowing air bubbles back up the fuel line into the filter.  After discussion with a local VW mechanic, I was told that the injector pump is probably bad.  The question I ask of the group is it better to rebuild it yourself, buy a rebuilt or find a good used one?  Any input is appreciated.

Send it to Giles and get some more power out of it

IPs are very tricky to repair, and since you had to ask I wouldn't recommend you undertaking it unless you have a good spare one to throw on
