Title: 1.6L na injection pump
Post by: irons on July 25, 2006, 10:31:34 am
This is my first post. I have a 1.6L na diesel. I have heard that vw was having trouble meeting california stadards so to clean up the 1.5L they changed the pump to a smaller one and increased the displacement to make up for the loss.
Is this true?
I have a 1.5 pump reconditioned, is it larger or the same?
will putting it on increase power?

What other options do i have for getting more power from my diesel?

the only way to find out if it will make you faster is to put it on, it only takes what like an hour?  i have heard the same thing you are saying though, kinda makes me curious if a 1.5 pump with a lda would work nicely on a turbo diesel

it's the extra part on a turbo diesel pump, it's on top and looks like a saucer, it adds fuel with the boost pressure

It is virtually the same pump, completely interchangeable. Go ahead and throw it on.
