Title: Modified Engine Life?

Does running 15-20 psi boost shorten the life expectency of the engine (assuming the egt is dept low enough)?

Can any of the mods that are used on turbo gassers be incorperated to work on diesels, like a heavier waste gate spring and a vacume controlled bypass valve?
