Title: Starter solenoid stuck
Post by: Doug on July 21, 2006, 06:40:50 pm
Anyone have a neat idea for getting this one working short of removal, disassembly and lube?  It's drawing current but not moving. Tried tapping it already with no results.

Why don't you want to remove it? It's very easy

You know that will be the ultimate solution but seeing as time is at a premium keeping all the rest of the equipment running maybe there is a quick fix .... just wishing...........

it's a motor in the end, it prob is dirty and the solenoid just needs to be cleaned up if it drawing current,  I think starter solenoids are cheap to replace also....

Then coat everything in di-electric grease,  on the terminals and stuff to protect from corrosion,  Hell repaint the motor black and re-install in the morning
