I have just beaten my speed record this weekend with my Golf  (I drive slowly :P ).
180km/h on the highway (initial speed accomplished running down a hill).
When the speed got to 180, I kept it for a little bit more, then saw the rpm needle touching the redline (4550rpm) and lifted the right foot.
Cool.  8)   You should have seen the cloud behind!  :shock:  :lol:   All the three lanes were smoked.
My friend who was driving his Opel Astra CDTi stayed behiiiiiind. He wasn't keen to "race" anyways.

How in hell did you guess that right?!! :P   Yes, it was in the Vasco da Gama. Lots of Subarus, Hondas and other small gassers racing there in the night. A bit like our "Autobahn".
I referrered a hill, but when you're on a bridge there are no "hills" in fact, y'know. :mrgreen:
