Title: Vancouver BC pump rebuilders?
Post by: commuter boy on July 12, 2006, 09:30:41 pm
I've got a leaking seal somewhere on my 1.9AAZ Passat.  Not unexpected after a few years of B100 use, I suppose.

I'm considering getting the whole pump rebuilt, as it's got 250,000 kms on it now, and I'm sure there's a bunch of other things that are going to go wrong, and I'm getting really poor mileage out of the beast.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a VE pump repair shop in Vancouver?  Any good/bad experiences or prices?

I'm hoping for something faster/cheaper than shipping the whole thing to Giles, though that is an option I'm considering.

Thanks!

N.W. Fuel Injection in port kells does great work. Valley Fuel Injection in abbotsford does good work as well, I have had pumps built by both. Giles also is awesome, and has a great turnaround time, I shipped a pump to him on monday, and had it back by the following monday. Call around and get some prices and see how long it will take, some shops can be pretty booked.

Thank you.  Any idea where I'd be able to lay hands on a LDA pump top so I could upgrade from my umwelt one?
