That is one sweet down pipe.

One question, how is it going to be braced to the engine?  Wouldn't all that movement of the engine even with the flex pipe put a good bit of stress on the turbo flange?

I braced mine to the factory bracket on the exhaust manifold. I just used a 2.5" muffler clamp and modified the bracket to work with the clamp.

One other item of interest. Since I'm still a newby, how long does the flex pipes last? Is it a concern for replacement? If so then maybe it should be attatched to the downpipe via a flange for easy replacement???  So far my flex is in great shape but I only have 15k miles on it.

One thing is for sure, adding a 2.5 inch downpipe will wake up the 1.6L :D

Installed it yesterday and was amazed at the difference in performace with little or no change in sound. I used a 2.25" pipe with a Magnaflow muffler and stainless tip. I may have to move the fuel filter as it is very close now.

It's an aluminum G60 Corrado cover that I had powdercoated. They are available from the dealer for megabucks, but I found one on the Vortex forum.
