IMO, anonymous posting adds confusion, not knowing who's saying what. Registration is easy, and doesn't restrict anybody anyway, so we might as well just make logging in mandatory before you can post, like on the old board.
What do the rest of you guys think?

agreed.
i was posting anonymously before and i didn't even know it... :?

I second the motion !

But --- That will make it much harder to throw snipes at registered users!!!

Well done, Marc! :D
Actually, I must say that I don't really object to "Anon Jr" posters, per se, but I have observed that forum civility is directly proportional to knowing whom one is writing to. I even belong to a forum where one must use one's real name, and while the debates are lively, I only rarely see any personal insults or improper language. And those miscreants often apologise for their overheated rhetoric after cooling off.
I must say that in 15 years of BBS and forum experience, this forum is one of the top three I know of in terms of polite and considerate discourse.
Thanks Marc, for helping keep it that way!
