Title: Dynoing the td next sat, suggestions?

it's a 93 td idi, what gear should i dyno it in and would cetane booster make a difference in power?  Running 5% biodiesel in it right now

4th is usually the most accurate gear to know eactly what its putting to the ground. i also think the power output would be higher with no biodiesel

5% bio will not make any noticeable difference.

Where are you located, cheesetoast?  There is a Diesel dyno day in London, ON in early June posted in the GTG section.  Your shaw.ca domain suggests you are in Canada (duh!  :oops: )

i'm in vancouver, bc, dyno date is next sat here.

from dynoing cycles a lot the computer knows the rate of acceleration on the drumb and how much torque vs acceleration it is seeing. mostlikely be close in all the gears but a td should work better in the taller ones.
