Just picked this up; previous history is was running fine then lost power. Sat for two seasons.
Initial timing check showed cam gear off one tooth. I re-timed.
Starter is marginal- won't spin as fast as it should.
Compression is approx 180# across the board- again, not turning fast.
Should I:
-Change the starter and hope for higher values?
-Put a bit of compressed air into #1 at TDC and listen for leaks (out the intake/ turbo?)
-Hank the head because I have bent valves?
- Or...? Bueller?...Bueller?...
THX,
Rich

First off I'd find out why it's cranking slowly...check the battery and cables. Also bar the engine over by hand to check turning resistance.
