Title: FN tranny work in my A2?
Post by: sethyboy85 on April 23, 2006, 08:02:43 pm
I am experiencing some delays in my motor swap which have left me pondering some parts of it, one of them being I am switching whatever the heck is in the car now out for a FN tranny with my new motor as well, will the linkage line up and work correctly?

Actually, the FN will likely be missing the bosses for the rear mount on the diff housing.  You might be able to fab something, but it won't be a bolt in.  Some A1 transmissions have both style mounts, some don't.

I have a spot it looks like to mount a bobble type strut to on the bottom of the diff case or some sort of mount goes through it and then tightened down, also have 2 tabs on the driver side of the diff looks like what I have in the car now and the other mountint spot looks to be the same.
