whats that  intake manifold from??,,modified 1.6 to fit  d ports on tdi,or some eurointake or something?? im curious........... :?:

looks nice and stock like its just a normal gtd, only people who are fairly familiar with the vw diesels would know what ur packing, although the valve cover and injection pump are dead give aways.

It looks like an AAZ intake. They look the same but have the larger ports like the TDI.

I'd like to thank hillfolk'r for posting the pics.  The intake is indeed from an AAZ engine with a 1.6td elbow.  A 1.6td intake manifold cannot be match ported to fit a tdi, not enough material.  I finally was able to get a true GTD elbow so I'll be swapping that on.  If anyone needs an AAZ intake send me an email I can get them from germany.  

I also  have a high performance LDA cone coming in from germany....supposedly good for 10-20hp on a 1.6td. I'm hoping to have a local machine shop do some reverse engineering when it arrives.  What I like about the piece is it only gives you extra fuel under boost...hopefully keep fuel economy in check when fuel prices hit $3.50 this summer. :cry:

hey no prob on pic post,anytime i can help a fellow dieseldubber!!!i took an extra lda and took it to the grinder,well dremel,,,,aargh,i was lookin for it the other night, cause i wanted to put it in. I used to have it in the 1.6,and it was nice,,and now  ive hidden it on myself :roll: if i find it,ill post a pic.  it seems like mods done to the 1.6td for power tricks,,really really makes a big difference on the tdi,,where as my water injection felt like 5-8 hp on the 1.6, it feels like solid 15hp on the tdi,,,,,
