Title: Clutch upgrade AAZ
Post by: vw4u2 on March 22, 2017, 09:37:07 am
Good day everyone!
I am swapping a 1.9TD AAZ(golf 95) into a MK1 cabrio 92 and I want to upgrade de clutch.  I did a lot of research and came up with a TDI flywheel(single mass) and G60 clutch.  My problem is the pressure plate. The pressure plate that came in the transmission(big C clip holding a metal ring) is totally different than the one I got in my clutch kit.  Which pressure plate should I be using to go with my TDI flywheel and G60 clutch, all 228 mm?  I try to insert picture of pressure plate but it doesn't work.  Need help, would like to get engine in car for the summer.  If you need more info, I will get them.

As you see, the 010 flywheel/pressure plate setup is completely different from the 02* flywheel/pressure plate setup.  You will need to use an 010 setup.  I believe there are upgraded versions, but I haven't ever bothered to upgrade an 010 clutch above what is available as stock parts.  I think RabbitJockey would be a good one to ask.
