Title: wondering if this rover pump is useable or damaged?

ugh, this is probably one of the worst of only handfull of bad experiences with shipping in 1000+ transactions over the years for me.  looks like there is no packaging inside so the pump just bounced around from the uk :(

im including a couple pictures.  i don't know how these pumps work, thought i was doing good by stalking deals on ebay for a mtdi project going into a mk2.

all i have messed with is 1.6 td pumps.  this doesn't have bolt, its a flat top but doesn't seem solid either so im guessing there is something going on?

im wondering if i can run it or not?

The top of the LDA has an anti-tamper cap on it.  Pry it out.
