I'm looking for a lower (any maybe upper) timing belt cover... and that funny attachment bolt thingy

the 1Z motor was in the 1996-97 Passat and jetta... maybe other  motors, (AHU) ... and possibly the ALH... not sure.

AHU / 1Z share a timing cover, ALH is different. You're looking for a 97-99 Jetta/Golf or a 96-97 Passat.
