Hi,
I am currently running an AAZ engine in my vw T25/T3 van but the head gasket has gone and I think the head is cracked.
I am able to get my hands on a 1Y from a 1996 mk3 golf.
Would the head from the 1Y bolt onto my AAZ? Would I need to change the cam, valves or injectors?
I've also been offered a PD150 turbo, manifold and intercooler.
Would I benefit from fitting any of these and how much work would be involved?
I'm based in the UK.
Thanks in advance.

1Y head will bolt up. I'd have to look up on etka whether or not the valves are different but I think they are. It would work ok, though, even if they are.
PD150 intake is better. Turbo would be a vnt and be potentially difficult to control (lots of threads on the subject). An intercooler is a nice addition. Installing it will require some custom work.
