Title: AHU/1z mtdi injector pipe query
Post by: coleman262 on August 01, 2015, 04:37:51 am
Hi all, i run an mtdi converted mk2 golf van

spec is landy 200 pump
holset hx25 turbo
.240 injector nozzles

etc etc..

now im having some issues with the number 3 injector line, its just fractured/broken.
probably because the line has been bent as the injector doesn't have the sensor on it so its too high.

got a new line and bent it temporarily to keep me moving, but my question is,

is there a spacer, or a line that fits a standard height injector maybe from another engine? i dont really want to go to the hassle of getting another injector and getting the nozzles swapped.

I have bent many lines without issue.  In fact, the only lines that I have had crack were ones that were not bent.  The important thing is to make sure the line fits exactly without coercion before tightening the union.

I do not know of any fitting available to take the place of the taller injector.  If you want not to bend the line, then I'd recommend fitting the taller injector.
