Post by: paladin on April 04, 2006, 04:46:55 pm
Just bought this 95 TD golf 1.9, need to know what clutch kit to put in it and where to get it. Great car has only 60k miles on it. Would also like to know oil filter, air filter, oil weight ect.  Thanks so much!!

I've had very good results from Euro-drive clutches' (burlington) parts. Specifically, lightened 210mm flywheel with 2L 16v pressure plate and a KEVLAR clutch disc. Bulletproof. Needs a gentle 1000km break-in period though. Just put this setup (02A version) in Chris-pl's passat. 10 lbs off  the flywheel. Throttle response is markedly improved.

I am looking more for an inexpensive/reasonably durable clutch kit. I will probably sell the car in the near future. Do you know where I can purchase the appropriate clutch kit for the 1.9 TD? Does anyone have a part number for the Oil filter or know if it is the same as any other VW filters in the US. Always a fun time locating VW parts for an engine that never came to the US.  Thanks All
