Title: Can I use mk1 alternator in mk2

Both are from 1.6 n/a

Yes and no.

The mk1 has a different bolt size. Anything can be made to work, offsets and such, but it should not just bolt on if that is what you are wanting.

I was hoping it would bolt on no problem. I guess I will save  for the proper alternator
