Title: 1.6 TD head porting

Hello, I have a 1.6 TD motor (SB code)

I have been running a tdi turbo already (t15)  now I'm thinking of installing a better intake! Plan on using mk3 tdi intercooler pipes so thought about a tdi intake.

Could I match up the ports on the 1.6 head to the d shaped ones without busting a water or oil gallery! Don't fancy fitting a 1.9 head..

I think on the oil you would be ok, I would think you may hit some water if you did cut too deep. I would enter at your own risk. It would depend on if VW used the exact same cooling passages for each head. I wouldn't want to gamble. I would rather try welding to the intake and porting it to 0 shape.
