Yea I noticed on my phone, there are these 3 little lines in the top right you have to tap on to get the  options to login, search, etc...

Don't get on the forums on my phone much, took me a minute to figure out how to login on my phone.

If you're on your phone then use Tapatalk, it makes the whole experience waaaaay better.

My suspicion is leaning toward which browser you use. I have IE on one computer and just downloaded firefox on it. IE shows the same format as the Mobile version of the site minus the three bars on the top right corner. Whereas firefox and chrome both show the Home Help Search etc links in the black bar up top.
