Title: Anybody have a video on how much the IP should spray?
Post by: Diesel_Zuk on July 19, 2014, 12:42:59 pm
I know it's not very much, as it's a diesel. It just to me seems like mine is pumping very very little, I cannot get it to fill the injection lines, even after cranking for about 20 seconds 3 times, waiting about a couple minutes in between. I want to verify that mine is pumping enough. I will get a video of how much mine is pumping. Thanks.

This is kinda what it should look like... there was a problem as I recall, but a good pump doesn't look much different in terms of quantity.

Delivery quantity might be only ~2mm3

Stupid question for you being that I'm fairly new to diagnosing, and even working on these diesels… Could it be possible that your cut off valve in the off position?

Are you getting fuel at the injectors themselves? Have you cracked the lines at the injectors themselves?
